I Have

a huge anouncment to make. it is something which was in pogress a while ago but  i wanted to make sure everything is going well before i inform my readers about it. i think you all really want to hear my big news so i better stop the chatting and get it out haha!

i managed to adopet a second account! which means i didn't create an all new doll but i adopted a doll whoms owner has decided it's time to leave dollywood for good and before i reveal the identity of this very doll i think i need to say a few things.

i know SD isn't really ok with transfering accounts between users and i have the feeling many users agree with it maybe that's because so many dolls got stolen which is unacceptabel but if both parties agree and set a fair deal which is controlling the situation than i don't think it's a problem. just an example: there is a person being a member of the SD community for quiet a while and this persone helps SD to keep the whole thing running by purchasing superstar memberships and even is a royalty member. a persone who put alot of time and (yes i just say it) love into it. a nice suit, a closet full of wonderful clothes and now i'm asking why all this should go to waste simply because this person may grow out of SD and is ready to move on and SD is forbidding this persone to let somebody else take care of this account. you may say that is not forbidden SD doesn't care but they do care when you and the persone exchange money for the account but excuse me if you have payed so much money on the account at first place why it is a problem to sell it (yes i just said the bad word). i don't think this is a problem at all. but this is just my opinion and i'm not saying you should start searching for a doll with tons of rares whom's owner hasn't been online for 3 months and start harass him 24/7 that's not how it should be and that's not how i got my second account that's something i would rather keep to myself. 

ok now that you all know my opinion about adopting another account i might aswell can say who is now part of my SD family (sounds a bit strange and creepy but you know i'm that way haha):

the nickname is kreatura and you may recognize her because i did a post about her in my graphisme cloum, she is a wonderful exampel of a doll which is just different and as i already wrote in that post she is the doll which showed my a different SD a SD which i love, which is edgy, dark and simply interesting. her owner wasn't really active the last months and now i'm the lucky person which will keep kreatura alive and her great suit and album open for all the dolls seeking for inspiration. 

and now something which is also important when you adopt another doll espacialy when you adopt one which is as unique and edgy as kreatura its ok do transfer all the rare fashion items to your account but you shouldn't suck all live out of the doll, there should be some nice things left she can wear and if a suit is as marveouls as kreaturas you may don't change it and what you also shouldn't change is the face i think that's kind of cruel. i know it's just a virtual pixel bunch but once somebody but time and creativity into the look of the doll and therefor it shouldn't be changed completly. 

ok i think this is all i wanted to say. some of you may not really agree with me on that topic but we can't always be on the same page can we? i hope you somehow are happy for me and i would be very glad if you stop by kreaturas account and leave a nice comment for her or me because at the end it's same persone behind this doll as it is behind A_Horror.

Yes It Is

7 degrees outside and no snow outside and i love it! it's xmas and i feel calm and happy no trouble with the weather and in a few hours i will meet my friends to celebrate and party hard (!) but for now something you all deserve to hear/read from me

Minimalism (get the look)

after my research for this post i came to the conclusion that minimalism is pretty much the style i prefer in my life outside of SD which makes this post very special to me. i would like to show you a way of dressing down without looking boring which is the most difficult part when it comes to minimal looks. you can't really distract your audience with a huge amaunt of extravagance you have to express your message with shape and shape only! if you want to do this reading this post is exactly what you need. i'm going to show you how you can stay simple and edgy at the same time.

this video features a preview for ALEXANDER WANG's 2012 ready to wear collection and i've chosen it to get you guy's into the right mood for this post. the video pretty much shows all the things being important to create a decent minimal look: challenging shapes, modern cuts, exclusive fabrics and almost no color (i know the video is in black and white but click here and you can see that this collection is coming without almost no color). besides alexander wang JIL SANDER is a fashion house which shows how exciting and modern it can be to stop the extravagance and focus on the important and essential things.

... it is very difficult to create a calm and simple but edgy look as there is a difficulty in finding the right materials. first there aren't many things released which would fit into an reduced minimal look and if they are it seems like the average SD user  doesn't notice it at all until those things are vanishing form the starplaza (e.g. the pleather platforms or the rustle of wind skirt) suddenly those calm and unnoticed garments become rare and popular. but luckly the new nelly.com store offers lots of things you can use to create a look shown in the pictures above and don't worry it doesn't have to be high fashion but keep in mind it shouldn't be boring! so try to use pieces with a good graphic and a special appareance means a cut out top or shoes with an abstract shape.

looking at those outfits you may get an impression of what i'm trying to say. you see those clothes may look simple but they all have a special way of being simple. means they may are plane but a bold cut out and an asymmetric shape are giving them a unique way of excitment (i hope you know what i mean).

normaly beneath those pictures of recommended clothes i listed all the clothes up, with their right names lables and prices but i won't do this anymore as it is way to much work and i think if you are really interested in one of the piece feel free to contact me in my GB i'm glad to inform you where to get the item and how much i payed for it.

Fashion Is

always a development, you can't just create a style out of nothing and i think this process of development is pretty exciting. that's why i started to photograph almost every A_Horror look i created for the past two months. now after capturing 51 looks i though it was time to present this little project to my wonderful readers. so please feel free to visit the evolution section of this blog. the video is a bit small (but for the love of god i just couldn't figure out how to make it bigger hahaha). maybe i will ad some more parts to this video but i'm not so sure right now. i hope you like my litte experiment and maybe you will start doing something like this too. believe me it's so interesting to see how your doll is developing.

Maison Martin Margiela @ Pet a Porter

yes i know the PET A PORTER CLOTHES HORSE store has openend it's door a while ago ... shame on me for recognizing this so late but better later than never (i don't know if you can say it like this in english but in german it works hahaha). all the true fashionistas may already heard about the collaboration between H&M and MAISON MARTIN MARGIELA a french based fashion lable founded by MARTIN MARGIELA and known for its avant-garde designs. many designer refer to MMM as a source of inspiration but  "normal" people often never heard of the brand that's why i think it's wonderful H&M are working with them. most of the collection is no longer avaliable but luckly SD managed to put a very special piece in the starplaza means you can still get your piece of the cake. 

 

the graphic is marveouls and you can get it for 11$ (which is a very good price) at the pet a porter clothes horse store (funny name for a shop don't you think?). down below you can admire the original version.

 

for me there is no doubt that the SD coat was inspired by this MMM for h&m coat.

a short post  i know but i needed to share this with you.

i love this coat and i think the price is really fair so if you haven't already bought it i can recommend you to do it as soon as you can, this a piece a really fashion vicitim or doll should have in their wardrobe.

the holiday season is coming closer and closer and i have to say (actually write) i'm not a big fan of christmas and the cold seasons at all! as much as i'm annoyed by all the christmas cheesy stuff i really like being with my family and that's basically what christmas is all about but with all this buying and spending money and choosing the right christams eve dress and bake cookies, the people forget about this basic idea of being with your loved ones but that's not the point of this post (sorry i kinda lost it here for a second haha)  ...  the point is even though i'm not such a christmas girl i would like to do something special for the holidays on this very blog and as i've come to really like the nelly hotbuys calender so far i decided to present you guys the real life versions of the upcoming clothes and show you a simple and nice way of combinig them in a outfit so you will see a new post hear almost every day simply click on the christmas calender site and watch which real life brand is behind the clothes of the nelly.com hotbuys calender. hey ho lets go ...

I Spy (UPDATED)

with my little eye ... something truly greatful something which is some kind of my wardropes heart ok i have to explain this:  there are some lables which i can't live without. my everyday life wouldn't be possible without them because those lables are creating such elegant and casual fashion which fit's in every situation nevermind if you're just take a walk through the streets, meet your family for dinner, or if you go out clubbing with your friends and those lables are: american apparel, monki, gina tricot, acne, urban outfitters and ....

... the fashion victims among my readers may already guessed the name of the brand ... yes it's cheap monday and the shirt above is part of the newest spoilers which means a cheapmonday logo shirt will pretty soon be avaliable at starplaza ... haha isn't that great! yes i know it is!

here we have the real life version of course a bit different but the SD version is as good as this one i think. funny fact is i own this shirt in real life (in black and in white) and now my doll is getting one too a bit spooky and strange but i like spooky and strange things.  if you wan't this shirt you can buy it here and if you have a weekday store in your town you can get cheap monday stuff there too.

and if you can check out the new nelly.com store, you can find some really nice clothes there BUT i warn you i bought alot there and not all of the clothes appeared in my sui.t i hope SD will fix this problem soon. so you may just check the store out an purchase the clothes a bit later when this glitch is fixed and don't worry i haven't forgot about the get the look minimalism post i'm still working on it stay tuned for this one but for now ...

UPDATE

as you can see on the picture the shirt has been released! and now the not so great thing about this reeeeeeally great shirt ... the price. if you want to be the owner of this nice tee you have to pay 15$ i think everyone needs to decide for oneself if the shirt is worth this much money. for me it totally is and if you came to the same conclusion you can find the shirt behind the first door of the nelly.com holiday calender.

LE Fall Winter 2012

there was a slide smile on my face logging into SD and stumble over a brand new LE collection. when the gift-o-meter was finally gone i knew a fresh and new LE store will open it's doors any minute (and for those who still thing "what a supries a new LE collection i haven't see that one coming because ther were no spoilers and stuff." anytime a gift-o-meter is released a new LE shop is opening a few days after the gift-o-meter is over) and see i was right. the other reason why i was just in a good mood was because the collection must have been released just a few minutes before i got home so i could grap all the things i liked. 

 

i think this LE collection is going get 6 out of 10. its a collection with a few really nice things (like the cat ear sparkle tiara) and some clothes who aren't really my style but i think will be selling fast (like the leopard peplum minidress). all in all it's definitely more wearable comparing to the last LE colletion. the prices seem normaly ridiculous which means we should be used to those expesive LE prices but i have to say i have the feeling this collection seems to be a bit less expensive. however i would like to say there still is the color problem i would have preferd to see less pink and more "adult colors" like white, dark blue, dark green and grey which are appropriate colors for a fall/winter collection.

i have to say my favourite piece of all the clothes i bought is the grey limited edition sweater. i really like this chunky look which makes it perfectly for tight hotpant. i'm sure with this sweater you can create casual elegant outfits.

from all the things the new LE collection has to offer the shoes are really  disappointing. most of shoes are way to cheesy for my taste ... some of you may like it but i think it's always good to handle leopard patterns carefully as they can easly look cheap but with the tipped stilletos i think everyone is on the save side not only do they look wilde there is a hint of elegant sexyness too.

news you guys ... SD is going to do something awsome and exciting ... yes really you're not dreaming i'm telling you the truth. when is visited USD today i found a post about a new store which is going to be released... its called Harrods and i think its a cooperation with SD and the real HARRODS a luxury mall located in london. i think you all know it. USD released some preview pictures what the store is going look like. 

from the three lables (CHLOÉ, GAULTIER JUNIOR and RYKIEL ENFANT) which are going to be avalible at the SD harrods store the chloé store is my favourite. if you want to see the other to make sure to visit USD.

while writing this post i recognized some of the clothes are already avalible in the search function of the starplaza so if you can't wait any longer here is you chance. 

also make sure to visit this post again i will update it as soon as the official store is released to show you some real life versions (i hope i will find some) and my review of course.

ok i'm a little late with this update and i hope you guys can forgive me. i have to say i'm still thirlled by the new harrods section of SD but (yes of course there is a "but"...) after i calmed down a bit and relaxed myself i'm able to have a more neutral view on those 5 new stores (by the time i updated this post 2 more stores (versace and supertrash) have been added to the harrods starplaza section). calm like i'm now i can make sure to give you a honest and reasonable review and you all know what that means ... yes it is ...

the whole idea of a complete section only for luxury real brands amazed me in the second i realised what the new harrods and SD co-op will be about. since all the other realbrands slowly (accept the tributes) vanished it's nice to see some big fashion houses back at the starplaza. the graphic isn't the best but not the worst ether so that means we will get new stores full of new clothes and they arn't as bad looking as the clothes from "normal" starplaza shops.

 

 

CONs

 

the prices are ridiculous (for the quality of the graphics) and of course non-superstar won't be able to buy more then one or two pieces. furthermore imagine if every week a new harrods real brand store is going to open (and the prices will stay that high) the users will have to spend more SD than they would normaly do, means if you're not one of those dolls who earn enough money by selling designs, at the bazaar etc, you have to top up more often (not imagine what happens when LE is being released).

 

 

there is another point which i can't decide if it really is a contra point: the collections which will be released or already have been released are all childrenswear. some users mentiond therefore the clothes are looking childisch, first i couldn't agreed because the clothes which were released with the first three shops didn't  look childish to me and to proof how good those clohtes of those three stores can be combined for a not at all childisch look i created a outfit for every one of those first three shopes which had opend (sonia rykiel, chloe, gaultier)...

Lipstick

is something i barely use in real life, i prefer lipgloss and nude tones (only chanel of course haha) but as i said so many times my doll is a way of expressing myself in many different ways. so her lips are always painted and i'd like to present to you 3 of my all time favourite lipstick make up looks.

1.

nude as the news

i used: peachy keen lipstick by dot (8 $)

how to do it:

first, go to face and body and change the color of your lips into the above shown tone this tone is a good base for the nude look we want to create. now change to make up  and choose a very pale lipstick tone (i used peachy keen by dot). the orange basic tone we've choosen befor is now helping to create a pale skin tone without to much pink in it which is the reason why i've choosen especially this lip tone.

i used: black lip pen by dot (9$) as a base

technogoth lipstick by dot (8 $)

how to do it:

 

pretty easy but the effect is wonderful. use a black lipstick as base (only use one layer!) and cover it with the purple lipstick (again only use one layer, you may haven't noticed it before but like the eyesdow and the blush the lipsticks on SD are slightly transparent when using them on your doll), and your romantic goth lips are finished.

i used: black lip pen by dot (9$) as a base

feu d'artifice lipstick by l'occitane (18$)

fire for hire lipstick by dot (8$)

living coral lipstick (8$)

how to do it:

you start with the black lipstick (one layer only!) and now you apply the feu d'artifice lipstick or any other bordeaux tone lipstick you have (also just one layer), you should try to only cover the outlines of your dolls lips so that you still can see some of the black lipstick ( as shown in the second picture below). now focus on the middle line of your dolls lips and paint them with the fire for hire lipstick or any other bright red lipstick you have. try to only color the middel and let some of the bordeaux still be visible like you see in the third picture below. we are doing this to ge the effect of a vampire who just drank some blood (spooohooky haha) and to create a romantic fall look. to finish the look also use the living coral lipstick (or any coral or light pink tone lipstick you can find in your beauty parlor) so that the effect looks even more realistic. for this lipstick look i got inspired by PAT MCGRATH's work for GUCCI's fall ready to wear 2012 collection "dark romance" ... perfect for the month of halloween don't you think.

befor i will go back to my lazy-sunday-tv-pogramm-day i have one last think to show you, when traveling through the suits of my my bf dolls i also visited KLADIAA i already did a post about her and when i saw this outfit i couldn't resist showing it to you guys. she really created a wonderful outfit which makes me think about marie antoinette by sofia coppola she just chosen the right colors and combied everything so very well i'm impressed. 

p.s.: it's kind of surprising how some people begged in their presentations to not be voted for MSW and now that thei're are in the semifinals they're so proud getting this far they post it in their presentation plus showing everybody the little reward thing you get when reaching semifinals ... common you hipster assheads just admit that you were scared to not reach so far so you start the tactic of anti-advertisment (don't buy this toilet paper it's too soft for your butt)... it's really emberessing and pathetic sorry but i just needed to let that out. and for all my german readers please use this last day and keep voting for isa (DieDunkleMaid) she really wants and deserves this.
